SIGMUND the strange Jewish-Teutonic god of therapy, father of Sigurd/Siegfried, to whom he passed on his magic sword. Thus Sigismund Freud changed his name in adolescence to Sigmund, in homage to his god, and founded the religion of psychoanalysis, which requires that the magic sword be passed only to initiates so that they may slay the dragon Fafnir, as Siegfried did, and marry and betray their Brunnhildes, their 'Burning Hells'.
