After fleeing the Greek pantheon
	in 450 BC ("no-one understands
	me!" she sobbed), Hypertextia
	spent the next several centuries
	peering over the shoulders of
	writers and inventers everywhere,
	alternately invoked or cursed as
	her sister goddess "Marginalia."
She has not yet recovered from
	the insult.

The emergence of the WWW inadvertently resurrected the worship of Hyertextia; a list of her temple acolytes and priestesses is forthcoming.
