The UNDP's Annual Human Development Report 2001
The UNDP's Human Development Report 2001, "Making New Technologies Work for Human Development", released on July 10, 2001 has generated strong criticism from numerous organisations over its analysis of the potential risks and benefits of GE crops in developing countries. PAN AP, Karnataka State Farmer's Association (KRRS), UBINIG, Food First, Actionaid and more than 290 grassroots groups around the world object strongly to the report's conclusions.
