Copyright

All material on this site, whether explicitly marked or not, is © copyright Mike Holderness and moral rights are asserted.

Uh-oh... the big bad copyright stick used by nasty publishers against defenceless internet users? No. Not at all. As a freelance writer -- an independent creator -- I am of course in favour of sensible "fair use", and unhindered access to material for educational and research purposes. What I'm against is creators being ripped off by monopolist publishers.

License

You are hereby licensed to make copies of material on this site ("the material") for personal and research use by your friends and associates provided that:

  • you neither make nor permit to be made any charge of any kind, direct or indirect, for access to the material; and
  • you do not modify or alter the material in any way; and
  • you attach a copy of this notice to the material; and
  • these conditions apply equally to those receiving your copies.
  • To ask about terms for other uses, mail me.

I am quite aware that this license forbids use on the Microsoft Network, in paid-for Compu$erve fora, and so on.

    Reward!

Note that I am actively seeking interesting legal test cases for breach of authors' rights and copyright in electronic media. If you come across any of this material used in breach of this license, mail me. I will pay a reward of US$100 to the first person notifying me of each proven abuse.
