The Northern Quarter Bugleis the “voice of the Northern Quarter”. The quarterly publication contains up to date information concerning the development of the Northern Quarter as well as,
“fact, fiction and the surreal, pulled together to represent the varying opinions of the local community”
The Baby Bugle information bulletin is distributed to all members on a monthly basis, and the most recent issue is  available here.
You can be added to the Bugle Mailing list by contacting the NQA

The Northern Quarter has its own public arts scheme.
As you go about your business in the NQ you may come across poems on the pavement in Tib Street or notice bird sculptures perched on the window ledges above. The Neon Light Tower on the Church Street Carpark is another artwork that adds individuality to the Quarter. A list of completed and projected artworks can be found here.

NQA is currently working with Ician, a new development company formed by Crosby Homes and AMEC Developments, who are developing the former
Smithfield markets site.

For the first 6 months of 1999 the Association

will be facilitating a consultation process with the local residential and business community.

In addition, over the full period of the development,
we will be promoting the area with a programme of cultural animation -events and temporary artworks on the site.

If you want any furtherinformation on the scheme contact the NQA.
