The Northern Quarter Street Festival is an annual one-day, open-air, free event. Closing Oldham St and Tib St provides areas for people to congregate to listen to a diverse range of quality live bands and DJs.

Radio Space is a radio station created by the people of the Northern Quarter for the people of Greater Manchester.  It was first broadcast live on May 18th 1998 for one month, 19 hours a day from the window of Cafe Pop on Oldham Street.
