Joining the Co-opNet Mailing ListThe listserver software we use here at Total Coverage offers two methods of remote subscription and unsubscription. Use the method that works best for you. To JOIN the mailing list, do the following: enter your email address in the box below and click on the 'subscribe now' button. To LEAVE the list, do the following: enter the email address you subscribed with in the box below and click on the 'unsubscribe now' button. You should get am appropriate response message in due course from the listserver software. The Digest OptionAdditionally/alternatively you may wish to subscribe to the list in digest mode. The digest is a weekly compendium of all the messages posted to the list during that week. So by subscribing to the digest service you only get one message a week instead of many. It also means you get the information later than would otherwise be the case, so you pays your money (or not, in this case), and you takes your choice. To SUBSCRIBE TO THE DIGEST of the mailing list, do the following: enter your email address in the box below and click on the 'subscribe now' button. To UNSUBSCRIBE TO THE DIGEST of the mailing list, do the following: enter the email address you subscribed to the digest with in the box below and click on the 'unsubscribe now' button. You should get am appropriate response message in due course from the listserver software. Subscription Address WeirdnessYou may find that you are receiving messages fine, but when you try to post a message to the list, all you get back is a curt little note from the listserver software saying you need to be subscribed in order to post. But surely I am subscribed, you say to yourself, somewhat confused and angry. Not necessarily. The common problem here is that people are subscribed under one address, e.g. freda@niceco-op.co.uk, and then send mail to the list from a different address, e.g. sam@niceco-op.co.uk The listserver software, being only a load of code and having no soul, is deeply stupid. Make sure that when you want to send mail to the list, you do it from an address that is subscribed to the list. If you want to subscribe several addresses to the list in order to facilitate this, then that is fine. The only downside is that you will get all the Co-opNet messages sent to every one of those addresses. home page | the archive | about the list | subscribe |
