The artist is Edik Boghosian Konaraki (Iran); Winner of the first prize in the 2006 International Ken Sprague Political Cartoon Competition Edik is from Iran and it was judged an original and imaginative way of presenting a well-worn subject, using simple means in an effective and graphic manner. Peace has been ossified for generations, but the small green olive branch showed hope that it will endure.
