Norberto Codina Boeras, editor of the foremost magazine on art, literature , culture, politics and the challenges facing the Cuban revolution today will visit the UK. He is a prominent Cuban poet and for the past nine years has been the editor of La Gaceta de Cuba, the magazine of the Union of Writers and Artist of Cuba (UNEAC), founded by Nicolas Guillén.
Cadina is the author of a number of published collections of poems and the editor of three anthologies of Cuban poetry.Last year Norberto Cadina completed successful speaking tours of Canada and the United States. He has represented Cuba at cultural seminars in the Canary Islands, Asturias and Galicia in Spain; Days of Poetry in Malmó, Sweden; the Meeting of Poets of the Latin American World in Mexico City and the Cervantes Festival in Guanajuato, Mexico; and at the Meeting of Italian and Cuban Writers in Genoa, Italy. He has also visited Angola, Panama, Russia, the Unkraine and Venezuela, the country of his birth in 1951.
Mr. Cadina will tour the UK, arriving on the 15th of November and will be available till the 29th. Some locations and dates are being planned and will be announced.
