Leonardo Reyes Ramirez, Adel Regalado Ulloa and Jose Roberto Bello Puente forced a Cuban pilot to fly them to Florida on Aug. 16, 1996.
The case follows that of Jose Fernando Pupo, a 34-year veteran of Cuba's military and police services, who was acquitted by a federal jury in Washington, D.C., of hijacking a Cuban plane to the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo last May.
