Carole Tongue MEP is the Socialist Group Co-ordinator on Culture, Education, Youth, Sport and the Media. In this role, she ensures that European Socialist parties to work together in order to ensure that their programmes receive a successful hearing in the parliament. The main areas in which Carole has worked have been in the defence of public service broadcasting and in ensuring that a strong creative base is maintained by effective European media regulation.
