FILM DIRECTING
This course runs one evening and two Saturdays and explores the implications that a story / script has on the actual work of the director on the set. It will include topics such as:
- assessing the script,
- necessary changes,
- liaising with the writer,
- informing the actors and crew,
- preparing for the shoot etc.
There will be plenty of example material and concise handouts for the trainees to accompany the course. Trainees will work with a `real` script of a professional scriptwriter for film and television.
This course will be suitable for people that already have an understanding of the general film production process and will not cover any technical aspects of filmmaking
